The AUC Executive is the peak body of the AUC. Its role is to:
- Liaise regularly with Apple Computer and the AUC members to ensure the common goals of each are achieved.
- Implement budgets and resolutions arising from general meetings.
- Oversee major activities such as the Executive Fund, AUC Development Fund, conferences, training and the Consortium magazine, 'Wheels for the Mind'.
The Executive meets at least four times per year, setting its meetings to coincide with the AUC General Meeting in February and the AUC Annual General Meeting in September/October.
The Executive is elected for a 12 month period at each AUC Annual General Meeting in September/October. To be eligible to stand for the Executive, members must be current employee's of an AUC member University and have attended at least one General Meeting of the AUC in the past 24 months.
The Chair of the AUC is responsible for driving, developing and implementing AUC programs. The Chair seeks to fully understand and gauge the importance of issues of interest to members, and present these issues for discussion at relevant meetings.
