HD Editing Suite

The AUC has established as part of its resources an HD Editing Suite aimed at promoting the adoption and use of HD Digital Recording in the Higher Education Sector. The equipment is for University staff to trial and use for testing and evaluation purposes. These items are for short term loan (maximum of a month) only and are not intended to be used for commercial purposes.

The HD Editing Suite consists of:

  • 1 x MacBook Pro 17" (2.4GHz/4GB RAM/200GB Hard Disk/SuperDrive/Airport Extreme)
  • 1 x Final Cut Express 4 & iLife 08 (iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, iDVD, GarageBand) pre-installed
  • 1 x PowerBook Power Adapter & AC Cable
  • 1 x Sony HDRFX1E HD Digital Video Camera with accessories
  • 3 x Sony HD DV Tapes
  • 1 x Sony Power Adapter & AC Cable
  • 1 x LaCie 500GB External Hard Disk
  • 1 x FW400 cable & 1 x FW800 cable
  • 1 x LaCie Power Adapter & AC Cable

Packaging

The AUC HD Editing Suite consists of 1 large case holding all the above equipment. The cases are water and airtight, secured via 2 padlocks and can be shipped via courier to anywhere in Australia. The University is responsible for all transport costs associated with the equipment.

Usage


The AUC HD Editing Suite equipment is for use by AUC Member Universities for testing, evaluation and experimentation in the areas of teaching, learning and research only. These units are not to be used for commercial use at any time. The borrowing University is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment whilst in their care.

Loan Agreement


The Loan Agreement form must be signed by an officer of the University authorised to sign such agreements. AUC member Universities can request to borrow the above Seeding Equipment at any time the AUC is not using it. Note that only the local AUC Representative or AUDF Coordinator can formally request the loan of the Seeding Equipment through the AUC Programs Manager.
