The AUC has established as part of its resources a small pool of Seeding Equipment for University staff to trial and use for testing and evaluation purposes. These items are for short term loan only (maximum of 2 weeks) and are not intended to be used for commercial purposes.
Due to customs and shipping regulations the seeding equipment can only be shipped to Australian addresses.
iPad 2 (Wi-Fi + 3G)
The AUC has 5 x iPad 2's available for short-term loan for use in evaluation, testing and development. These iPads are Wi-Fi + 3G however you need to provide your own micro-SIM (3FF) to be able to use the 3G data network.
Please note that if you want to use these iPads for development purposes you will need to have an iOS Developer Membership from Apple at your own cost.

Each iPad 2 Kit consists of:
- 1 x iPad 2 (Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB)
- 1 x iPad 2 Smart Cover
- 1 x USB Dock Connector Cable
- 1 x iPad Power Adapter with Australian Plug
- 1 x iPad AV HDMI Cable
- 1 x iPad Camera Connection Kit
Each iPad also includes a number of demonstration media files including Apps, Movies, Music, Podcasts and Books. If you sync the iPad with your local machine these demo files will be deleted and you can install your own.
Loan Form
The borrowing University is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment whilst in their care. The University is responsible for all transport costs associated with the equipment. We stongly encourage the use of Australia Post 5KG Express Post bags which accomodate the iPad box and facilitate quick turn-arounds.
The Loan Agreement form must be signed by an officer of the University authorised to sign such agreements. AUC member Universities can request to borrow the above Seeding Equipment at any time the AUC is not using it. iPod touch Kits
The AUC is making available a number of new iPod touch units for member Univeristies to explore and develop applications using the built-in Safari web browser, iPhone SDK and multi-media delivery features. You can find more information about the iPod touch at Apple's web site.
Please note that if you want to use these iPod touches for development purposes you will need to have an iOS Developer Membership from Apple at your own cost.

Each iPod touch Kit consists of:
- 20 x iPod touchs (32GB)
- 3 x USB Power Adapters
- 3 x USB Cables
Please note that no earphones are supplied due to health reasons however the iPods have a basic built in speaker which is adequate for most uses.
