AUC Training SubsidyIn addition to the standard AUC discount of 35% on all DDLS Apple training courses the AUC is offering an addition training subsidy for up to 8 training attendees per member University in 2008. The local AUC Representative decides who is eligible to claim the additional subsidy. The additional subsidy consists of: Registration Course Subsidy An additional 35% discount off the course cost for a total of 70% off the RRP. This additional 35% discount is only claimable after the course has run and attendance has been confirmed. Accommodation Subsidy Recipients of the training subsidy requiring travel to their nearest training venue (Regionals, Tasmania, Northern Territory) will receive funding of up to $150 (inc-GST) per night (3 nights for a 3 day course, 4 nights for 4 day course) for accommodation at a nearby hotel. Funding only relates to room rate and any taxes, it does not include incidentals such as meals, room service, phone calls, laundry, movies, etc. Airfare Subsidy For recipients of the training subsidy who need to travel (Regionals, Tasmania and Northern Territory) the AUC is offering to cover return economy airfares to their nearest capital city. A limit applies of $450 for all airfares (economy, return, inc-GST). Travel and accommodation, where required, will need to be organised by the individuals or University. The AUC cannot assist in this regard. All other costs associated with attending this course (including transfers, taxis, meals, phone calls, laundry, etc) are at the individuals or their University's cost.
