Read the FAQ!
The AUC has provided a page of Frequently Asked Questions for those interested in attending WWDC and those who have been awarded the WWDC Scholarship. It contains some distilled wisdom and much that is apocryphal, so take the time to read it and check out the links.
Booking your WWDC Registration
All staff WWDC attendees needs to register as an On-Line member via Apple's Developer Connection web site and the AUC will purchase a WWDC Registration Ticket on their behalf. Students need to purchase an ADC Student membership which entitles them to a free WWDC e-ticket. The process is similar for staff and students and where there are differences these are noted. Visit the 'WWDC Registration' page for the complete process and return to this page when completed.
Booking your Travel and Accommodation
Once you have been confirmed as registered to attend WWDC you can proceed to book your flights and accommodation. Please visit the 'Travel & Accommodation' web page for more information including links to airlines and hotel web sites that you will need. Return to this page when completed.
Travel Insurance
Traveling in the US without adequate travel insurance is not encouraged by the AUC. Travel insurance for staff will usually be covered by the University as part of their international travel insurance policy but please check with your University before you leave.
Students MUST have travel insurance before they leave and the AUC requires proof of adequate travel insurance before they will be reimbursed. Contact your travel agent for more details.
Confirm your bookings
If you haven't already done so please confirm your bookings. This includes:
- WWDC Registration Ticket via the ADC web site, check your Assets for a WWDC E-Ticket
- Domestic and International Flights including arrival and departure times
- Accommodation details (either directly with the hotel or via a Hotel Booking Site)
- Travel Insurance (University coverage or personal insurance)
Advise the AUC of your details
Once you have completed the above steps please advise the AUC of your details. This is so we know who is attending, can assist you if you have any difficulties and even invite you to special AUC and Australian events during WWDC.
Your name and e-mail address will be published on the AUC web site so others also attending can contact you.
While the AUC is not a travel agency we will endeavour to assist you with any problems regarding registration, travel and accommodation to the best of our ability.
Before you leave
Before you leave to attend WWDC here is a short checklist you might want to go through.
