AUC - Apple University Consortium Conference
digital voyages 03
About the Apple University Consortium
uni picsThe Apple University Consortium (AUC) has a large participation amongst Universities throughout Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region. These Universities work together to support the use of Apple technology on campus as well as share experiences and further the goals of education. Raising computer awareness on campus is a key priority of each member and this is achieved through newsletters, training, seminars and demonstrations. Apple Computer and AUC members are involved in the joint support of innovative uses of technology in education such as multimedia title development, interactive learning and application development through the use of the Apple University Development Fund (AUDF) administered by Apple Australia and the AUC.

The AUC Executive Committee is responsible for liaising regularly with Apple Computer and the Consortium members to ensure that the goals of each individual member are achieved. Further information about the activities of the AUC can be obtained from: AUC Chairman, Stephen Young or AUC Programs Manager, Andrew Jeffrey.

About the conference
The theme for 2003 is Digital Voyages. The theme links the growth in the use of digital devices and the computer as the digital hub of our connected world, as well as focusing on the personal voyage that is an integral part of the conference. By sharing concepts and solutions, presenters and attendees can take home new ideas for implementation in their own environment. There will be three streams:

1. Academic Adventures
How academics and students are using Apple technology in research and teaching to investigate new areas.

2. Developer Discoveries
How developers are leveraging the strengths of Apple technology.

3. Technology Trails
New paths for technology users and administrators in higher education.
